MN Lacrosse Hall of Fame “Future Legends” Club Concept…

What do you think of this idea…
We want to involve youth, high school and college lacrosse players and their families in the push to grow the game, and do good in their community, so we are toying with the concept of starting a “Future Legends” donor level campaign aimed at this audience and furfure pool of lacrosse Hall of Famers. This would require a $50 annual donation and parent would sign up the younger player, while the high school and college players should be able to sign up on their own.

They would receive a Future Legend t-shirt with a cool looking Hall of Fame logo on it. Plus, we would stay in touch with emails, texts on social media with things they can participate in or volunteer for to help a charity or help grow the game. We would also partner with an app called Starfish that connect parents and young adults to charities they can volunteer for. We hope to offer things like discounts for camps, clinics, tournaments. Donors would get points for community service and we could make it a contest to see who get the most points and award 1st-3rd place winners each year by age levels. Here are some examples of community service:

* Help coach or teach new kids how to play.
* Play in a Native stickball exhibition games with Twin Citie Native Lacrosse.
* Mow an old person’s lawn or help them with a chore they can’t do.
* Reach out to find kids from other towns/school s that want to start lacrosse and let them know about the grants we have to help start a program in their community.
* Be a volunteer for a local charity for a day.
* Be an end line ball boy or girl at a high school or college game/tournament.
* Help out at the concession stand.
* Help fundraise for a charity. (lemonade stand, GoFund Me, etc)
* Sell raffle tickets at a hall of fame event.

Basically be a volunteer with your family and other legends at fun lacrosse and non lacrosse related events, get cool swag, make new friends, do kind deeds, learn about being responsible and give back to the game and community.

Let me know what you think. Shoot a text to Mark at 952-457-4515 or email at: mnlaxhalloffame@gmail.com
