The Jake Anderson Give 60 for 60 Foundation was formed after the tragic death of Jake Anderson on 12/15/2013. Jake was a HS goalie at Orono HS and played at U of M – The foundation was created to foster sportsmanship, community service, leadership, and character. Jake Anderson left us in 12/15/2013 under mysterious circumstances, and this foundation recognizes those with his character traits. The foundation provides several awards and scholarships to student athletes who exemplify Jake’s his traits.

The Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference Division II of the MCLA – the conference is made up of 3 teams from MN – St Johns, St Thomas nad U of M Duluth with the 4th team being North Dakota State. The U of M Twin Cities plays in the Division I of the MCLA. Dereck Dahne is the League coordinator and former head coach at SJU/ He is also on the Hall of Fame selection committee representing men’s college lacrosse.. NOTE: Other college club teams play in the Great Lakes Lacrosse League include: Carleton, Mankato St, Twin Cities LC and Northwestern. The only NCAA varsity D II team is University of Northeastern in St Paul.

The Minnesota Lacrosse Hall of Fame Foundation is looking for team and league reps…
This is a volunteer position that involves you representing the Foundation by sharing our mission (making your team aware of our fundraising events, resource and available grants. Its as forwarding our emails and social media posts to your team, league or association members.
This includes: youth, high school, travel, college or club team’s alumni, parents and players or referee, coaches and league association members.
We want to rally the entire lacrosse community to fund and see the impact of these Hall of Fame grants, and honor some great lacrosse athletes, coaches, refs and contributors along the way.
If interested, each team rep can also be a member of the 2026 Hall of Fame Voting committee, and help us select the next class of Hall of Fame award winners.
HELP IDENTIFY NEW AREAS….Lastly, for the team reps in outstate Minnesota, we are going to count on you to help identify individuals in nearby communities that want to start a new youth or high school program, so we can assist them in the process of starting a new lacrosse program with our grants.

We are working with Matt Burke, the USA Lacrosse Midwest Regional Rep for MN to plan a USA Lacrosse and Reginal Summit Coaches & Referee Clinic for either the winter of 2026 in Nov-Dec or early Jan-Feb of 2027. USA Lacrosse holds these regional summits to help traing coaches and referees all around the country. The most recent one was just held in Denver this November. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW
